Sleek Makeup

So I'm a HUGE fan of Sleek Cosmetics. I find they have really high quality cosmetics at extremely affordable prices. Shipping only took 7 days to get to NZ this time so I was pretty stoked! You can purchase their cosmetics from their website www.sleekmakeup.com xoxo

This blush below is called "Rose Gold". The camera didn't really pick up the actual colouring but it is more of a coraly orange. It is beautiful <3

This is one of the I-Divine palettes and this is the limited edition "Showstoppers" palette. I don't really have any of these kinds of colours so i'm super excited to try them tonight!

These colours below are probably my favourite from this palette. especially the shimmery purple. <3

Swatchy swatchy! Some of them have shown up better than others but in real life they were all very pigmented.

POUT PAINT! So i've heard great things about this product. it is comparable to the OCC Lip Tars (people say they are a great dupe). If you haven't heard of either of these products, they are basically a liquid lipstick that can be mixed to create other colours. For example if i had the white one, i could make a light pink or pale nude colour with the colours i have purchased. The colours i got were "Rosette" (the darker pink) and "Minx" (the lighter nude pink).

Here i have just put them on some paper. you really don't need much of this product to cover your lips. In future i will do some lip swatches when i get more of a collection :)

Again on the paper, i have just sort of wiped them across the paper so you can see the colour payoff. Super opaque. They are quite thick so i'm excited to try these on my lips to see if they will be thick feeling or not.

So that's everything i got from Sleek. I hope you enjoy these kinds of posts. I hope it helps with your future online shopping as i know how different the colours appear on the website swatches! I have quite a lot of the Sleek Makeup so i will post more of my collection at a later date :)

Nail Polish Haul!

Hey everyone! So i placed an order last week with a New Zealand based nail polish website called Candygirl.co.nz. They sell everything from O.P.I and China Glaze to Essie and Zoya. The pricing is much more affordable than buying instore from somewhere like Farmers. So my package came today and i was so excited to open it!

The first thing i purchased was the Couture De Minnie (Runway Minnies) nail polish set from O.P.I. I actually bought this for a friend as a present so here's hoping she doesn't see this! Anyway i think the colours are so adorable especially the more shimmery shades! I think i might purchase another one for myself haha.

The next nail polish i got was also from O.P.I and it is from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. It is called "Sparrow Me The Drama". This colour i thought was going to be a bit more like a mauve kind of colour so i was quite surprised to see it was a lot pinker than what appeared on the site. I still really love it though as i don't have any other colour like it!

The next two came in a set together (also from O.P.I) and they are from the Pink of Hearts collection for breast cancer awareness. I absolutely love the colours. The "I think in Pink" is more of a sheen pink and is really pretty for a more subtle look on your nails. It'd be perfect for a more pinkish mani! The "You Glitter be Good to Me" is sooooo sparkly i am in love with it! it has silver glitter with larger chunks of pink glitter and it looks amazing over any other nailpolish. (Even black!)

Last but not least i ordered "For Audrey" from China Glaze. I've been wanting this colour for ages and i tell you now it did not disappoint!! It is such a beautiful sort of turquoise colour to brighten up your nails. I cannot wait to use it.

Here they all are together :)

Also i received two free lollipops and a free pair of tweezers!! So cute. I'll definitely be shopping with Candygirl.co.nz again! Highy recommend them <3 <3

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review!

I have heard A LOT of people on youtube raving about dry shampoo recently and finally decided to see what all the fuss is about. After work last week i went into the pharmacy and bought a can of the Batiste Dry Shampoo Original.

It was quite pricey for New Zealand ($17.99) but i thought what the heck might as well try it. I tried it the next day and oh my goodness. I wish i had filmed my reaction because this stuff is seriously AMAZING! My hair gets quite oily near the scalp and i can notice it on my "day two" hair. This dry shampoo got rid of the oilyness completely and made my hair feel very soft and fresh. It has a nice smell to it as well (sort of like when you just wash your hair). I loved it so much i decided to see if it was available for a cheaper price in the supermarket. I was stoked when i found it! This time i decided to purchase a different scent/flavour. I grabbed the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush (such cute packaging) You can see it below :)

It  was on special in the supermarket for NZD$12.99!! Between the two i think i like the Blush one better simply because it smells a little nicer than the Original one. But both of them are fantastic! I can't see myself living without these now.

One thing to note: If you do have darker hair (such as brown or black) You might want to purchase the Batiste Dry Shampoo for Brunettes. Simply because the Original and Blush have a white tinted spray to them which actually makes my hair lighter. (being blonde i don't mind, and actually quite like that it lightens my hair).

Other than that, i think i am in LOVE with these dry shampoos!

Introduction!

Hey everyone! So i thought i'd start by introducing myself. My name is Kayla, i am 18 and i am obsessed with beauty and art. I am from New Zealand which is absolutely beautiful and at this stage in my life i wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Currently i am studying a Bachelor of Media Arts (visual arts majoring in Painting) at Wintec.

The reason i have decided to start blogging is because i don't have the time to be filming youtube videos. Maybe one day i'll have the time to start a channel and upload regularly but at this stage i only have time for a blog and figured it is just as good :) So I will be posting beauty related reviews on products i come accross and what i think of them! I have a bunch to get me started and look forward to posting some more!

Also i am finding it tough to get my head around this website in general so if you have any tips please please let me know!

Love and kisses, Kayla <3
